H.K. Graphics, Inc. diversifies with the :Anapurna Mw from Agfa Graphics

Press release from the issuing company

Ridgefield Park, NJ - Agfa announced today that H.K. Graphics of Everett, MA, made the strategic decision to diversify its product offerings and capabilities in the midst of last year's economic downturn. Over the course of its thirty-five year run, the company has always remained in tune with the needs of its customer base and the marketplace at large. Early in 2009 as the global economic crisis loomed, management felt in order to expand sales and grow the business, they needed to integrate new technology. They also believed that a pathway to sustainable success required H.K. Graphics to keep more jobs in house, offer new services to customers and aggressively target new markets.

According to Sandra A. Keshishian, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, "We've been in the business for over 35 years.  When we looked at the trends in the marketplace, we knew it was time to diversify. You want it, we can do it. And now with inkjet technology, we have expanded our expertise even further."  H.K. Graphics installed the :Anapurna Mw from Agfa Graphics in 2009 as a part of its overall strategic business growth plan.

The :Anapurna Mw from Agfa adds single pass pre-white and multi-pass post-white to the :Anapurna M series. This creates new possibilities for printing on transparent material and backlit applications or printing white as a spot color. This wide-format industrial UV inkjet printer is designed to produce photorealistic quality for POP, displays, retail signage, tradeshow graphics and more. It features a print resolution of 720 x 1440 dpi and a maximum printing width of 62 inches.

Keshishian also offered, "With the recent investments, we can now handle a marketing campaign from beginning to end. Whether our customer requires high-end graphic services, marketing consultation, retail signage, POP or tradeshow graphic, we are able to meet all of their marketing needs from content creation to finished output. At H.K. Graphics, we are committed to delivering the highest quality to our customers and the :Anapurna Mw helps us do just that! "

The :Anapurna Mw is a sound investment for small to mid-sized companies like H.K. Graphics. It is also complementary to sign shops, as well as commercial, photo and screen printing companies.

"The move to diversification is a hot button issue within the industry now. At Agfa, we are working to help businesses approach diversification with the backing of high quality and reliable technology that is aligned with their short and long range strategic business goals," said Deborah Hutcheson, Director of Marketing at Agfa Graphics.
