W+D-Langhammer will exhibit a complete palletizing unit at FachPack

Press release from the issuing company

Eisenberg – A complete palletizing unit in action can be viewed at the W+D-Langhammer stand at the FachPack in Nuremberg from September 28 to 30. Besides a high performance palletizer with transport technology for consumer goods and pallets the setup also includes an articulated arm robot.

The palletizing robot is a 6-axis ABB IRB 6650 type robot with suction grippers. All the models in the articulated arm robot line make for highly flexible palletizing. With the robot arm's long range several lines can be palletized using just one machine. Thanks to the optimized drive technology these robots belong to the fastest in their class. They can handle heavy loads and their extreme operating precision guarantees high quality palletizing results. The programming of these robots for adjustments to new tasks is fast and easy. Customers can choose the appropriate gripper for their particular products: suction grippers with zone controls, fork grippers, bucket grippers, bag grippers or grippers for complete pallet layers. If required W+D-Langhammer develops solutions which fit individual products to a T.

The exhibited high performance palletizer is a type PA 8 one and suitable for palletizing nigh to all products within the consumer goods branch such as packs, cases, containers etc. The high output rate and working precision are distinguishing characteristics of this palletizer. The exhibited machine has already been sold and will go directly to a well-known manufacturer of bakery products after the exhibition is over.

Standard components from the consumer goods pallet conveyor technology field round out this sample unit which will be running non-stop and demonstrating how processing phases in the consumer goods industry can be automated and streamlined with modern transport and palletizing technology.
