A new Standard Horizon BQ-470 automated four-clamp binder was recently installed in the full-service bindery of UniGraphic, Inc. in Woburn, Massachusetts. The binder's intelligent, icon-based color touchscreen provides quick, easy and automated set-up, and allows for instant recall of recurring jobs from memory. According to Bob Quinlan, president, "We evaluated all available binding technologies, and spoke with industry peers whose opinion we respect.  We decided the BQ-470 was the best-suited binder for our needs, and it has performed beyond expectation."  He added, "The BQ-470 gives us that competitive binding edge, with a quick-change adhesive system that lets us switch between EVA and PUR adhesives in just minutes." The sale was completed by Standard dealer A.L.Larsen of MA. UniGraphic, Inc. serves the greater Boston, MA area and offers a comprehensive range of offset and digital printing services as well as direct mail fulfillment.

The UW6-R offers a straight paper path for easy threading of the web and the core-driven technology ensures no damage to the printed roll. "The Hunkeler unwinder offers many benefits over our previous equipment, including automated set-up and a decurling feature for seamless processing", says William Gaddy, Senior Director of Production Engineering at Broadridge. "Running up to 720 feet per minute, the Hunkeler Unwinders can easily keep up with the newest high-speed inserting equipment available today." Broadridge, a leading full-service outsourcing provider to the global financial industry, is the market leader enabling secure and accurate processing of information for communications and securities transactions among issuers, investors and financial intermediaries.
