Press release from the issuing company

Event Sponsored by the WhatTheyThink Economic Advisory Service

Lexington, Kentucky USA -- WhatTheyThink.com today announced the opportunity for industry professionals to attend a free printing industry economic webinar with forecaster and commentator Dr. Joe Webb. The event will be held Wednesday, September 15, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm EDT (-5 GMT).

No-charge registration is available at the webinar registration page

During this one-hour event, Dr. Joe will provide a first look at what the industry and the economy at large might expect in 2011 as well as share WhatTheyThink's latest print business conditions survey. Advance questions for the webinar Q&A session can be submitted by visiting WhatTheyThink's Economics & Research Center and selecting "Ask Dr. Joe."

"By mid-September most companies will be kicking off their 2011 planning process," said Randy Davidson, President, WhatTheyThink. "This timely session will provide valuable insight that can guide those deliberations."

"It seems we have been in a sideways recovery for some time; it's frustrating for managers, employees, and consumers. Yet slow growth periods are often times of great structural and technological change," said Dr. Webb. "It's clear that our industry is going through a deep restructuring that is starting to restore profits, and that the competition from alternative media is becoming more interesting every day. I will address these and other topics in this session."

Specifically, he will discuss:

  • The economic recovery: Is the "new normal" getting old?
  • The latest survey of print's business conditions and capital investment intentions
  • What 2011 holds for the restructuring print business, print's media competition, and the overall economy

"This session will be available in the archive, along with all of our other educational sessions, so business owners and managers can revisit the content at any time," added Davidson. "Dr. Webb will also be kicking off the second annual Print CEO Forum in Chicago on October 2nd. Space is limited so be sure to register today."
