BCC Software President K. Jon Runstrom to retire June 30

Press release from the issuing company

Rochester, New York - BCC Software, a BÖWE BELL + HOWELL company and the leading developer of high-performance mailing and address quality solutions, announces the retirement of BCC founder and President K. Jon Runstrom, effective June 30. Christopher Lien, currently BCC's Executive Vice President, will become the company's second President the following day.

Under Runstrom's leadership, BCC has grown steadily for over 30 years and was acquired by parent company BÖWE BELL + HOWELL in 2005.

Runstrom is a proud member of industry groups including the Software CEO Circle, Association of Support Professionals, Association for Postal Commerce (Postcom), Mailing & Fulfillment Service Association (MFSA), Association of Mailers for Electronic Enhancements, and the Alliance of Nonprofit Mailers. He also earned the esteemed Luke Kaiser Education Award, presented annually from the MFSA as an effort to recognize association members whose efforts focus on education as a key to success in the mailing industry.

"A strong leadership team isn't dependent on one individual, but rather a group of dedicated people-people that have come to BCC because they believe in what BCC offers and represents," said Runstrom. "In my mind, there's no way that BCC will do anything other than continue to elevate itself, to be the undisputed leader in this industry."

Mike Swift, President of Software and Postal Sorting for BCC parent company BÖWE BELL + HOWELL, stated, "Over more than 30 years Jon's contributions to BCC, its customers and the entire mailing industry have been transformative, and far too numerous to mention. He has truly been a visionary in the mailing industry and has built a wonderful company in BCC that received the highest of accolades from the folks that are the lifeblood of any business: its customers.

"BCC has continued to see significant growth during the challenging economic times of the past five years, while building a team of associates that is unparalleled to carry the organization into the future," Swift added. "While we're tremendously sorry to see Jon go, everyone in the BBH family is grateful for his remarkable efforts and achievements. We all wish him well."
