Konica Minolta forms global alliance with Dover Corporation

Press release from the issuing company

Ramsey, N.J. – Konica Minolta, a leading provider of advanced imaging and networking technologies for the desktop to the print shop, today announced that it was awarded a five-year contract including Konica Minolta MFP and document management solutions from Dover Corporation.  The multi-year contract, which applies to Dover companies in 34 countries, is an important component of Dover's supply chain management initiative to leverage the best technology while saving the company and its subsidiaries money, driving down indirect spending and increasing efficiencies worldwide.

In addition, Konica Minolta has created a customized extranet called the Dover Project Site, whereby Dover Global Sourcing can interact with Konica Minolta and monitor the implementation of all devices throughout the agreement.  With this custom system, colleagues, partners and customers will each have an up-to-date snapshot of the devices purchased globally and where they are in process.

"Konica Minolta offered us an excellent solution to help us operate more efficiently, reduce expenses and provide exceptional value across our companies worldwide," said Eric Ambrosio, Director of Global Sourcing Systems, Dover Corporation.  "We are confident in Konica Minolta's ability to offer innovative and custom solutions to meet our complex printer, MFPs and software service needs."

As part of the agreement, Konica Minolta will conduct on-site analysis and assessments that will assist Dover in determining the products and solutions that best meet their organizational and business requirements including MFPs, network printers and wide-format systems.  To facilitate this task, Konica Minolta will bring together experts in its direct and indirect channels to address the document management, copying and printing needs of Dover sites.

"We see this relationship with Dover Corporation as an outstanding opportunity to utilize Konica Minolta Business Solutions' technology and help Dover drive improved performance," said James Lange, Senior Vice President, Corporate Key Accounts, Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc.  "By providing contract consistency, implementation and overall cost reduction through a single vendor partnership, we will help Dover achieve an exceptional return on their investment."
