Alexandria, VA — Chris Huber, president of Virtual Systems, Bellevue, WA was presented with the Robert M. Huse Chapter Achievement Award for his major contributions and dedication to the Northwest Chapter of MFSA. The award was given out at MFSA?s Annual Conference, held in Charleston, SC, earlier this month.

Previous recipient of the award and second vice chairman of the MFSA board of directors Ted Kulpinski said in presenting the award, “Huber has been the 'glue' that has held the Northwest Chapter together over the last eight years.”

The chapter was started in the fall of 2002 and Huber was the chapter?s first vice president. From its inception, he has devoted personal resources in developing and maintaining the chapter?s website, planning and organizing events and generating enthusiasm for the chapter.

According to former Northwest chapter president Emmet Marshall, “Chris steps up whenever needed. He provided lists for marketing from his own personal database of client's and prospects. He provided tools for the chapter meetings. He organized and planned many of the meetings. If ever a ball was getting dropped, Chris was there to pick it up.”

Huber said in receiving the award, “I consider my involvement on the MFSA Northwest Chapter board to be a strong investment in both my customers and my industry. I've been doing it for years and plan to continue. I think chapter events are an effective way for members to network and learn; we have a group of great people in the Northwest.”

Bob Huse served as MASA's president from 1964-1988. He served the association with great dedication and initiative, and brought the association from a troubled state to one of vibrancy and activity of great value to the industry and the postal community. The Robert M. Huse Award, which was created in 1995, recognizes contributions by an MFSA member in support of a chapter of the association.
