Doug Whitacre Joins KBA North America as VP of Sales

Press release from the issuing company

(August 24, 2008) KBA North America, a global press manufacturer based in Williston, Vermont, announces that Doug Whitacre has joined KBA as its new vice president of sales for both pre-owned equipment and national accounts. Whitacre replaces John Raithel who was promoted to the newly-created position of KBA senior vice president-sales for the sheetfed division.

"KBA represents a growing firm with the widest range of printing presses that are proven and top-notch," says Whitacre. "I'm excited to be joining this firm as it continues to introduce new equipment to the market. I believe that my management experience will bode well for helping my new customers find exactly the equipment they need to ensure their continued success."

Whitacre comes to KBA from another press manufacturer where for the past 14 years he was the full line sales representative for Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Prior to that position, Whitacre worked for nearly a decade at Whitacre Sunbelt, a family-owned dealership that sold printing presses in Georgia and Florida. Whitacre earned a finance degree from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia in 1985.

"We'd like to welcome Doug to our family," says Holger Garbrecht, president and CEO of KBA North America. "His experience, expertise, and background will ensure that our loyal customers are well-served with our complete line of presses and our well-known training and service."
