Go2Paper launches Paper Wanted Ads in the Paper Marketplace

Press release from the issuing company

OAKLAND, CA- (September 2, 2003)- Go2Paper, a leading provider of e-business tools and services for the global paper industry, announced today the launching of a new feature called Paper Wanted Ads. Paper Wanted Ads provides Go2Paper Members with another means to increase their sales and meet immediate or ongoing paper demands. The new feature is a fully automated ad placing system, allowing buyers to place their paper requirements directly on Go2Paper while notifying sellers if the paper request matches their profile. If indeed it does match their profile, sellers are notified via email and, with one click of a button, can post the paper. Once posted, the buyer is automatically sent an email letting them know the paper has been posted for them to purchase. “Paper buyers have sent us numerous requests for paper so we decided to allow them to place their paper needs directly on our web site for sellers to view. This way buyers can reach out to thousands of Go2Paper Members to fulfill their paper requirements,” said Mike Conran, CEO at Go2Paper. “Plus, with Paper Wanted Ads, sellers can gain new customers without spending lots of marketing dollars to get them.” Paper Wanted Ads compliment another feature offered by Go2Paper called Paper Alert, which allows Paper Buyers to fill out their profiles so whenever a seller posts paper that matches their profile they are sent an email notification. In doing so, paper buyers don’t need to visit the web site everyday, but instead fill out a Paper Alert. Both services are designed to make it easier to bring buyers and sellers together in the paper industry.
