Printable Licenses Software Via New Server Editions

Press release from the issuing company

SOLANA BEACH, CA, September 2, 2003 – Printable Technologies, Inc., the leading online software provider for the graphic arts industry, has announced that it has begun licensing new server editions for onsite installation of its industry-leading software. Until now, the company had been offering its software applications exclusively through its ASP Edition, which continues as Printable's primary product offering. In addition to the ASP, Printable has developed three new server editions that are available for immediate installation by its clients: Data Center Server Edition For clients who prefer to have a dedicated server with tier one security, Printable provides them with their own stand-alone servers, which are hosted at Printable’s secure data center. Powered by Printable’s applications, these dedicated servers are exclusive to that customer and provide an additional layer of assurance that all of their work is secure on their own server. Onsite Server Edition In this most popular of the three editions, Printable technology is installed on a customer's own servers which reside in their server farm at their location. Printable regularly enhances the capabilities of the onsite platform, updating it remotely with the most recent revisions and upgrades. Enterprise Server Edition Developed for large enterprise clients who mandate that any technology of this type must be behind their company firewall, the robust Enterprise Server Edition is managed by the enterprise in partnership with a print service provider who supplies administrative as well as print production services. Coleman Kane, president and chief executive officer of Printable, noted that the decision to make the server editions of Printable available is in response to overwhelming demand from the company's growing customer base, and the evolution of the Printable product. "The size and complexity of the types of programs being managed with Printable technology today has grown significantly. For many clients, having a server on site provides additional functionality and efficiencies to help manage those programs. More and more enterprise clients have strict security requirements that only an onsite server will accommodate." He added, "Our 'Printable in a Box' program is just weeks old and the client response has been well beyond our expectations. It's becoming increasingly clear that we've begun to change the whole industry perspective of Printable as a service provider." The company has already installed four fully operational Printable server editions at client locations.
