The John Roberts Company releases their sustainability report

Press release from the issuing company

Minneapolis, Minnesota – Entitled A Way of Life, The John Roberts sustainability report highlights over 30 years of efforts to provide customers with viable marketing solutions while at the same time protecting the environment.

Michael Keene, President and CEO, states, "Our products, processes and way of life are continually checked against our goal of treading ever more lightly on the planet.  To that end, we challenge each area of our business to reduce cost and environmental impact by including these objectives in our annual performance goals.  We're energized by the results."

The report highlights several accomplishments: John Roberts was the first commercial printer in the United States to be certified as a Sustainable Green Printer (SGP) and the first printer in Minnesota to receive three separate Chain of Custody certifications, (FSC, SFI, and PEFC). The John Roberts Company is an EPA climate leader partner and was established as a carbon neutral company.

John Roberts' commitment to sustainability also includes partnering with and participating in efforts that contribute to the health and well-being of the community.  Charitable donations are selected by employees and excess paper is donated to local schools and churches.

Ensuring the health and wellness of employees is also important.  Each year, an annual health fair that includes pre-screening health tests, smoking cessation and flu vaccinations is held for employees and their families.
