Large-scale order for MAN Roland sheetfed presses from China

Press release from the issuing company

September 1, 2003 -- Dongguan Hucais Printing Co., LTD (Humen Color), based in the new industrial area of Dongguan in the Chinese province of Guangdong, has been a customer of MAN Roland since 1995. With 43 ROLAND 700 printing and coating units already working for the company, CEO Chen Cheng-wen now decided to substantially add to his machinery, used mainly for producing cigarette packs, multicolour packaging, greeting cards and stationery: no less than four MAN Roland presses with a total of 23 printing and coating units were ordered by Hucais Printing from MAN Roland Greater China - a five-colour ROLAND 900 with coating, a six-colour ROLAND 700 with coating, a five colour ROLAND 700 with coating, and a four-colour ROLAND 300. Since its foundation in 1989, Hucais has been steadily growing. The group today includes four subsidiaries, one of them a brewery. In the printing field, it holds a prominent position: the Dongguan Hucais Printing Co. ranks 11th in the Chinese bulletin listing the country's top 100 printing companies. From this excellent basis, the company now wants to approach the international market. What Hucais values most about its partnership with MAN Roland are the machines' progressive design, high performance and reliability, their productivity, user friendliness, and the PECOM technology.
