Flint Ink Completes Sale of Arcar Graphics to Environmental Inks

Press release from the issuing company

Ann Arbor, MI (August 29, 2003) – Flint Ink North America has announced that it has sold the business of its subsidiary, Arcar Graphics, LLC to Environmental Inks and Coatings Corporation.  Arcar Graphics manufactures water-based and UV-curable inks and coatings for the flexographic and screen printing label and packaging industries. It became a unit of Flint Ink when that company purchased the Alper ink Group, LLC in 2000. According to Bill Miller, president, Flint Ink North America, “Flint Ink has an ongoing global commitment to the packaging, commercial, publication, newspaper and directory printing markets. At present, however, conventional narrow web applications are not a primary focus of the North America Packaging Group's strategy.”
