Largest producer of gravure cylinders Yuncheng and GMG sign partnership

Tuebingen – GMG, the world's leading color management solutions provider, is pleased to announce that GMG China has signed a strategic partnership with the Yuncheng Plate Making Group in China.

The Yuncheng Plate Making Group – the biggest producer of gravure cylinders in China and the world – consists of 83 companies with 54 of it in China and 29 in 14 other countries. With 500 units of gravure engraving machines the group has an annual production capacity of more than 3 million cylinders. The group owns 76% market share in the Chinese gravure prepress market and also exports to customers in other countries.

Yuncheng will work with GMG as its strategic partner for color management technologies. After a very long period of internal testing among all the existing solutions in the market, Yuncheng decided to go with GMG for several reasons:
- The perfect quality that passed the very high quality demand of Yuncheng group.
- The timely and good local support offered directly by GMG's local office in China.
- The long term commitment of GMG to color management technologies and also to the Chinese market.

GMG will support Yuncheng in all its color management needs within the Yuncheng group. The agreement will cover the migration of the 300 existing digital proofing systems in use by all the companies in the Yuncheng group to the GMG ColorProof proofing solution. Apart from this, Yuncheng will also adopt GMG ProofControl as a quality control process to monitor digital proofs from all their manufacturing facilities.
