New System Eliminates Fountain Solution Contamination

Press release from the issuing company

DALLAS, TX. - Aug 28, 2003 -- Procam Controls, Inc. in conjunction with L.A. Nyberg Sales & Mfg., Inc. has launched FloClear, a unique fountain solution recycling system. The system, which will be featured in Procam's booth (4545) at Graph Expo, utilizes a multi-stage separation technology and recirculation pump to clean and restore fountain solution extending its usable life by as much as six months. This typically adds 1-2 hours of press productivity per week previously spent changing and cleaning the fountain solution recirculation system. In addition, users experience improved print quality and reduced water adjustments during long runs. The FloClear also decreases the printerís impact on the environment by dramatically reducing the amount of waste fountain solution going to drain or being hauled. Removal of contaminants is achieved by processing the solution through treatment cartridges in three separate stages. Consumed components of the solution that are carried-off by the printing substrate and evaporation are replenished as usual.
