Friday, May 21, 2010
Chicago, IL – InDesignSecrets, producers of the popular InDesignSecrets Live! Conference and Seminar series, today announces immediate availability of two new InDesign eBooks. The InDesignSecrets Guide to Graphic Effects, by Mike Rankin; and InDesignSecrets Top 40 Tips, an edited collection of the most popular and useful blog posts on the InDesignSecrets website, are available for purchase at: www.indesignsecrets.com/ebooks.
Anne-Marie Concepcion, co-founder of InDesignSecrets, says, "We are thrilled to offer our newest, must-have eBooks! These particular eBooks are unique in that they are comprised of the best-kept secrets and are truly a wonderful guide and reference for InDesign users of all levels. Many people would pay dearly to receive the insider tips found in these affordable publications."
The InDesignSecrets Guide to Graphic Effects ($9.95)
This new eBook was created as a result of overwhelmingly positive feedback for InDesign expert Mike Rankin's Eye Candy series of posts on the InDesignSecrets site. The series features tips about useful and fun graphic effects - such as stickers, holes, drips, and "shiny things" - using only InDesign tools and techniques.
In the 150-page PDF eBook, Rankin reprises and refines techniques from the Eye Candy series; and adds new, never-before-published effects such as interlocking objects, creating chrome, putting text inside text, wood carvings, and special effect photo frames, like Polaroid and mattes.
InDesignSecrets Top 40 Tips ($9.95)
InDesignSecrets Top 40 Tips is a collaboration of the entire InDesignSecrets veteran team, and was produced by site contributor James Fritz. The 104-page eBook is a combination of the team's 40 top blog posts, written by members of the team or contributing editors.
The posts included in this eBook were identified as the most useful in helping users navigate the InDesign program, including one of the most-accessed blog posts, "Rebuilding InDesign's Preferences". Included posts were updated with new screen shots, and many of the most useful reader comments are included in sidebars. Each tip includes a link to the original blog for easy access to all original comments.
