Compucolor chooses Quarterhouse Software's QPrint Pro for multiple sites

Press release from the issuing company

Bastrop, Texas - Quarterhouse Software, leading provider of web-to-print solutions for commercial printers, distributors and specialty graphics organizations, today announced that Compucolor has selected the QPrint Pro software suite to provide the infrastructure for their new array of BtoC print on-demand websites, targeted at offering product-specific printing capabilities to customers nationwide. Compucolor is expanding its coverage through user-friendly, self-service websites and new brand-marketing initiatives to establish additional profit centers and offer its on-demand printing services to a wider customer base.

Compucolor is a leading printer of high-quality, quick turnaround offset and digital press paper products, including: postcards, brochures, flyers, booklets, and catalogs. Compucolor serves its customers using state-of-the-art equipment including Komori, Heidelberg, Mitsubishi and Hewlett Packard presses, plus aqueous/UV coatings, special effects, foil stamping, bindery and other on-site services.

The new business expansion has begun with the recent launch of a subsidiary brand, webebooklets.com, which represents the first of several upcoming product-focused website brands. Responding to a growing demand for web-based, customer-driven printing services, Compucolor's strategy will include personal customer service and extensive customization options, but will focus on the comprehensive self-service portal functionality that QPrint Pro provides.

"After looking at the available web-to-print systems on the market, our team selected QPrint Pro," said Tom Weitzmann, CEO of Compucolor. "We were impressed with the suite's ability to support our business goals with its out-of-the-box storefront, proof processing, automated pre-flighting, and job management capabilities. We are pleased to support a company such as Quarterhouse that is implementing a user-driven approach to the strategic needs of web-based print service providers."

The new websites will leverage QPrint Pro's Storefront, Quickflight and Administrator modules to enable website visitors to select products, request custom quotes, purchase via credit card or other terms, calculate shipping costs, access and accept proofs, pre-flight files and communicate with Compucolor production staff. Additionally, QPrint Pro's web-based interface will enable Compucolor associates to manage print jobs, file histories, proofing, production flows and customer communications.
