Lake Image Systems enhances inserter exit scanning capability

Press release from the issuing company

Henrietta, NY - Lake Image Systems, the worldwide leader in vision control and verification systems, has announced enhancements to the inserter exit scanning capability of its popular Discovery Multiscan integrity verification solution.  With the enhancements, Discovery Multiscan integrates seamlessly into the Lake Image Discovery Suite (or alternative piece level and job tracking systems) while achieving scan rates in excess of 90,000 pieces per hour.

Discussing the enhanced capability, Lake Image Systems Vice President Pat Hoskins commented: "Lake Image Systems Discovery Multiscan identifies missing or duplicate pieces at production speeds, by comparing each piece to information in a database or by verifying the incrementing or decrementing of sequential pieces.  Discovery Multiscan also archives camera images of every piece or, optionally, only pieces with errors.  The system simultaneously verifies IMB (Intelligent Mail Barcode) information, comparing each piece to USPS specifications and parsing the IMB information to obtain each unique identifier."

Lake Image Systems Discovery Multiscan incorporates a networkable reporting structure which provides piece-level and job-level audit trails.  Multiple Discovery Suite systems can be linked enterprise-wide, to reconcile jobs being produced on multiple production lines or using multiple processes. The scalable architecture which forms the basis of Lake Image Systems Discovery Multiscan also includes collation control, sheet-level input verification, matching, and other features-all of which can be activated with a simple software key.
