X-Rite Partners with Fuji Hunt to Deliver OASISRemote

Press release from the issuing company

GRANDVILLE, Mich.--Aug. 27, 2003-- X-Rite, Incorporated, today announced its partnership with Fuji Hunt Photographic Chemicals Inc., the prominent provider of quality chemical products for the photographic and graphic arts industries, to supply its technology for OASISRemote(TM). OASISRemote is an advanced, online support program that provides mass retailers with real-time, technical support for their photo-processing minilabs. "We are pleased Fuji Hunt has selected X-Rite as a partner to provide the technology solution for OASISRemote," says James Weaver, X-Rite's Vice President of Marketing and Product Development. "We look forward to working together with Fuji Hunt on future solutions for quality control systems for the photographic industry." Fuji Hunt's Oasis Remote program is designed to reduce digital print processor down time due to unexpected chemical conditions, increasing output productivity and consistency. Fuji Hunt will use a proprietary, state-of-the-art densitometer, jointly developed with and manufactured exclusively by X-Rite, as part of this program. The OASISRemote 895 densitometer will act as an FTP client, automatically retrieving control strip reference correction factors and transmitting real-time control strip results from ten to thousands of mass retailer photo department locations to a central quality control monitoring department. "Combining X-Rite's densitometer technology with our software enables OASISRemote to capture minilab control strip results in real-time," said Bob Harvey, Technical Manager, Color Market's Group, Fuji Hunt. "This solution will help us better support our multi-location minilab customers through a more proactive approach to technical support."
