Sheetfed offset now equipped for future upgrades: futureproof

Press release from the issuing company

When purchasing a new press, a printer asks what requirements must be fulfilled. This includes not only current jobs, but also those that will come in the future.

manroland helps to solve this problem by offering for all of its sheetfed presses a package that permits upgrades at a later time. futureproof makes upgrades easier to carry out and thus less expensive.

The idea is simple and makes good sense: to reduce later investment costs when buying a new press, a printer can include preparations for upgrades that might come later. These include creative enhancements like overprinting on cold foil (InlineFoiler Prindor), faster makeready processes (numerous QuickChange modules), integrated color measurement and control technology (InlineColorPilot), sheet-cutting systems for processing reel paper (InlineSheeter), sheet inspection  (InlineInspector) and ejection of starting waste (InlineSorter).

The printer can postpone added investments like these until they become necessary owing to customer orders. The futureproof packages allow an easier retrofit during the first five years after the date of purchase. For the ROLAND 700 HiPrint, for example, there are more than 25 upgrade packages available for accordant special conditions.
