Oce Partners With Sepialine to Deliver Tracking and Accounting Solutions

Press release from the issuing company

CHICAGO, Aug. 26 -- Oce, a leading supplier of digital document management and delivery technology, has announced an agreement in the U.S. with Sepialine, Inc. to deliver comprehensive tracking and accounting solutions for the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry. By combining the industry-leading, large format multifunction printing systems of Oce with Sepialine's award-winning Argos print tracking and integration software, design professionals and service providers have a complete, end-to-end solution for tracking and recovering the cost of technical document production printing. "Oce continues to focus on providing solutions for our customers' real business issues," said Joyce Virnich, Vice President of Marketing for the Oce- USA, Inc. Wide Format Printing Systems business unit. "The combination of Oce and Sepialine technology provides customers with a powerful tool to manage document output and recover printing costs." Sepialine's Argos print tracking software is designed to track network printing and then prompt users to assign their printing to valid projects. For many design professionals, the ability to capture reimbursable expenses and assign them to clients is a long-standing need. Recovering the cost of printing technical documents can transform what would otherwise be non- recoverable overhead into reimbursable expenses, possibly contributing thousands of dollars to the bottom line every month. Compatible with the complete line of Oce TDS multifunction printing systems, Sepialine software works alongside popular AEC software products such as AutoCAD 2004, Bentley Microstation, Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office. In addition to its core print tracking software, Sepialine offers a complete suite of integration products for Oce products, including the Oce Power Logic controller, Oce Print Exec LT software and Oce Repro Desk software. "Our Oce TDS600 system handles all of our wide-format printing needs. But before adopting Sepialine software, we had a huge hole in our reimbursables. We were spending thousands of dollars a month in printing supplies and were attempting to recover these costs by tracking them manually. More often than not, we simply had to dismiss these costs as overhead," said Brian Darrow, PE, IT Manager for Triad Associates, a Kirkland, WA-based land development consulting firm. "With Sepialine print tracking, we are able to recover a large portion of that printing cost. And with Sepialine integration with our Oce TDS600 scanner, the gap is completely closed. Sepialine software has been a huge boost to our bottom line."
