Finch Paper launches new website with mobile stock guide

Press release from the issuing company

Glens Falls, NY - Finch Paper is pleased to unveil its new and simplified website design. Finch revamped its site to offer visitors up-to-the-minute product and promotional information, snapshots of the most current blog features, a Mobile Stock Guide, instant access to Finch through various social media channels, and more.

The major website facelift comes on the heels of the company's recent debut of the new Finch is in the House blog, an inspirational forum built to educate and entertain those interested in learning more about the countless attributes of uncoated paper.

Time is money
Too many corporate websites overwhelm designers with cumbersome animation or poor flow.  The new Finch site interface was engineered for a smoother, cost- and time-efficient experience, whether design professionals are doing research or simply ordering the newest promotional guides.

Beth Povie, Finch Paper Marketing Communications Manager, says, "Print buyers and designers need thorough information to be delivered as rapidly and comprehensively as possible. Today the Finch website will do just that."

Highlights
The new Finch Paper landing page spotlights a rotating feature box, where visitors will find the latest Finch news, promotions and product offerings - quickly. Also located on the main page are the Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube buttons, where designers can link directly to Finch in the social media atmosphere.

Another highlight of the landing page is the addition of the Mobile Stock Guide. This tool allows print buyers and designers needing to spec paper while on the road to do so at the touch of a button - literally. This new 2.0 site saves a great deal of time and offers 24/7 functionality.

The most-visited section of the Finch site details different paper types and sizes. These pages now feature more concise copy, helpful "at-a-glance" overviews and usage recommendations, product benefits, specifications, and large icons at the bottom of each page. Visitors can here order samples, view product charts, and access the educational guides such as the Finch green product guide - all at the touch of a button. Downloadable fact sheets for each product line are available.

A frequently visited site area addressed in the re-haul is the Finch Paper Stock Guide. A beautiful pop-out box features customizable search options that allow designers to search on paper grades, shades, basis weights, sizes and weights per 1000 sheets. The Stock Guide results are also printable, for easy reference.

The Get Finch Samples page offers a cleaner, more visually aesthetic appeal and spotlights the cover of each available brochure, swatchbook, printed sample, and tools for digital printers.

Keeping it simple
The new Finch Paper website was designed with simplicity in mind. "The site has been completely redone with a nicer flow and more easily navigated pages," Povie says. "The interface readability offers much more breathing room than other sites, which in our customer analysis were found to be copy-heavy and include more hype than we are comfortable with.

"So, instead of taking a step back and asking what we could add to the website, we asked: 'What can we take out?"

By integrating its online presence with its feet in the forest philosophy, Finch's website redesign is just another way Finch Paper is staying at the forefront of the industry. Visit www.finchpaper.com to experience the new look and feel of Finch!
