BÖWE BELL + HOWELL demonstrates cost-savings solutions at IPEX

Press release from the issuing company

Wheeling, Ill. – BÖWE BELL + HOWELL (BBH) will be showcasing many cost-effective, flexible solutions for production mailers at this year's IPEX tradeshow, May 18 to May 25 in Birmingham, England. Solutions and experts from BBH and the BÖWE Group will be in Booth D901, Hall 17, and BBH business partner CMC will demonstrate a number of its innovative systems, including a high-speed "envelope creation" application as part of the Hewlett-Packard exhibit.

This year's solutions address the industry's need for efficient, connectable, high-integrity solutions that help mailers reduce costs. The offerings provide complete pre- to post-production management to meet the requirement of mailers of all sizes and in all vertical markets.

"Our business focus is to help mailers reduce costs while achieving greater visibility and control for areas of the production process," said Mike Maselli, BBH vice president of marketing and product management. "We've successfully launched a number of new innovations in the U.S., and are very pleased to bring them to IPEX so that mailers around the world can see the benefits of these innovations."

BBH systems to be featured include the Combo14 inserting system, which combines the functionality of multiple inserters, and processes envelopes at rated speeds of up to 14,000 cycles per hour for #10 letters and 6" x 9" envelopes, and up to 9,000 cycles per hour for flats. Its rapid changeover from flats to letters – in minutes, rather than hours – makes the Combo14 system the foremost inserter for flexible, high-speed applications.

BBH JETVision, the industry's leading-edge reading technology, ensures mailpiece integrity and quality on virtually any system from any vendor. JETVision's native integration with the BÖWE One Software Suite allows mailers to centrally control and manage mailpiece and production activities.

Also featured will be the Turbo26, equipped with a high-performance input channel for up to 80,000 pages per hour and an unbelievable inserting rate of up to 26,000 insertions per hour. Automatic job and enclosure setup shorten and simplify user operation. The Turbo26 will feature a transpromotional application with tracking throughout the production process using BÖWE One Item Workflow. This provides the customer with unparalleled transparency and confidence in the integrity of the mailpiece.

These high-performance inserting systems require extremely fast and reliable feeding components to run at optimal speed. The BÖWE Group will introduce a newly developed high-performance unwinder: the Unwind u10 from Lasermax Roll Systems. It has a maximum feed speed that attains 3.5 meters per second (700 feet per minute) and can process pinfed or pinless paper with a web width of 200–520 mm. Learn more about Lasermax Roll Systems in Booth 12 C 111, Hall 12.

BBH partner CMC will present a high-speed "envelope creation" application that creates a personalized envelope on the fly from roll paper. The MailStream Inveloper incorporates the HP Ink Jet printer for printing a full-color, high-quality duplex 4" swath across the front and/or back of the mailpiece.
