Brown Printing receives WhatTheyThink Environmental Innovation Award

Press release from the issuing company

Waseca, MN - Brown Printing Company has received the WhatTheyThink Environmental Innovation Award in the Environmental Sustainability and Your Plant category.

The awards, which were announced on the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day, recognize companies "making real and concrete contributions to innovation, implementation, and the communication of environmental solutions." The Environmental Sustainability and Your Plant Award specifically identifies Brown as a company that is "walking the talk" in their facilities.

"We received more than 50 applications and it was difficult selecting just a few for recognition," said Gail Nickel-Kailing, Managing Editor of WhatTheyThink Going Green. "The 2010 recipients are all environmentally progressive companies that have implemented projects, initiatives, and processes that go beyond certification and compliance."

"We are honored to be receiving this award," explained Jack Johnson, Brown Printing's Environmental Engineer. "We strive to be a responsible steward of the environment. This award further validates the passion and efforts of our employees to successfully reduce our environmental impact."

Brown will be presented with the award May 18, 2010 in Atlanta, GA.
