Easypurl.com adds QR codes to cross-media platform

Press release from the issuing company

New York, New York - Easypurl.com announced the recent launch of QR Code functionality in its industry-leading Cross-Media Marketing Platform. This new feature is included in a Mobile Marketing Module, which also contains mobile-optimized Web Landing Page Templates. This new module is included in the platform and has been available for use by Easypurl.com's customer base for several weeks.

"QR Codes are one of the hottest technologies in cross-channel marketing today," explained Tej Kohli, CEO at Easypurl.com. "We are excited to offer this new functionality to our user base. Here at Easypurl.com it's our mission to deliver a solution that allows marketers to create, launch and track personalized communications across all media. Combined with our other functionality - Personalized URLs, Email Marketing, Landing Pages, Postal Tracking with IMBs and CRM - QR Codes complete the circle."

A QR Code - also known as a 2-D Barcode - enables prospects and customers to learn more about a business by visiting a special mobile Web Landing Page using a Web browser on a mobile phone. This Landing Page is accessed by scanning the QR Code with the phone's camera, using software that either comes already installed or can be download easily on the Web.

"Using this technology, marketers can give consumers an easy way to respond to advertisements in traditional media, such as space ads in magazines, product brochures, billboard campaigns, or even product packaging," explained Rio Longacre, VP Sales & Marketing at Easypurl.com. "This new feature only launched recently and we've already seen some incredibly innovative uses by our clients. One campaign featured QR Codes in Yellow Pages ads, and another used them with business cards."

According to Kohli, QR Code functionality is delivered within Easypurl.com's Mobile Marketing Module. "We have also created various Mobile-Friendly Landing Page Templates, which are included in Easypurl.com's Gallery section for immediate use. These Mobile Templates make setting up campaigns with QR Codes a snap, and are optimized for major wireless devices in the US. This new feature set gives our clients a powerful set of tools for offering marketing services that leverage the mobile channel. Combining QR Codes with mobile-optimized Web Landing Pages gives our customers a huge competitive advantage in the marketplace."

"Write this down: this is the year of Mobile Marketing," stated Longacre. "Though slow to develop in recent years, thanks in part to the emergence of QR codes this exciting channel is poised for explosive growth - and with it the emergence of exciting new revenue opportunities for those offering this service."
