Misconceptions about transitioning to environmental sustainability, Key topic at Print CEO Forum

Press release from the issuing company

Lexington, Kentucky USA -- WhatTheyThink.com today announced that it continues to finalize the agenda for the second annual Print CEO Forum scheduled for October 2nd and 3rd, 2010, at Chicago’s prestigious University Club. During the event, Peter Nowak, editor of WhatTheyThink’s Going Green, will moderate a panel of printers who have learned that going green is much more than using recycled paper and soy inks. This printer-only event is sponsored by manroland.

“There is often a misconception about transitioning to environmental sustainability,” said Randy Davidson, President of WhatTheyThink, “and that is that it costs money.  This panel will discuss how “green” printers are actually saving thousands of dollars per year by expanding their environmental practices to include lighting, improved compressed air management, recycling beyond the press room and more. Not only are they improving their operations, but they are also improving their image in the marketplace, important in the acquisition of new customers and the retention of existing ones.”

Panelists will share their experiences in becoming FSC or SFI certified, best practices for gaining employee support of environmentally sustainable practices, and discuss how they have evaluated their businesses end-to-end to reduce their carbon footprint—and their cost base—for increased profitability.  This session will provide valuable and actionable advice for attendees as they examine their own environmental strategies.

The agenda and registration page is available at PrintCEOForum.com. Seats to the the 2nd Annual Print CEO Forum are limited and they are filling up fast.
