KEXINO launches Qarto: Online translation management platform

Press release from the issuing company

Alsace, France – Business value communications and marketing services company KEXINO announces the launch of Qarto, an online translation management platform that saves organizations time and money on translation projects.

"One of the biggest issues in producing translations today is not so much in the creation of the translated material, but the actual production workflow process involved." says Gee Ranasinha, Principal / CEO of KEXINO.  "Today it is a laborious, manually-driven practice that is prone to inefficiencies, ineffectiveness and human error. By streamlining and automating the various disparate stages involved, organizations that regularly produce translated documents or artwork can see their per-page costs reduced by as much as 40% by using Qarto."

Qarto allows users to submit, translate, collaborate, edit, track and approve the material online, in realtime.  Uniquely, as well as working with Microsoft Office files (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), the system accepts native files from QuarkXPress and Adobe InDesign – including support for InDesign CS5.

Once the translation has been approved, users can download a translated layout file with the localized text already in place.  This saves huge amounts of time compared with the current process of having designers add the translated text manually.

For translators working within Qarto, they can see the source artwork in its complete state (i.e. not just the text component) as they work, helping in the translation process and often producing a better end result.

"Companies do not even need to change their existing translation suppliers. However, if they need extra language capabilities – or require greater production throughput than their current translation resources can offer – then all Qarto users have free access to our community of 2,500 certified translation professionals."

Qarto can also integrate with 3rd party IT systems (digital asset management, brand management, web CMS, etc.) to form the basis of a language-independent, integrated content delivery platform.  Current Qarto customers come from the advertising, design, corporate, and publishing industries.
