HardingPoorman Group acquires assets of Saint Clair Press

Press release from the issuing company

Indianapolis, IN - The HardingPoorman Group, Inc. has increased its offset printing resources and retail printing capabilities with the acquisition of Saint Clair Press.

The offset printing operations of the downtown Indianapolis printer will be merged into the HardingPoorman facility in Park 100, and a significant number of Saint Clair Press employees will join the HardingPoorman staff. Saint Clair Press joins SPG Graphics, Ropkey Graphics, Full Court Press and Discom Technologies as part of the HardingPoorman Group of locally owned & operated companies.

Formerly owned by Houston-based Nationwide Graphics, Saint Clair Press manufactures a wide variety of retail products including jigsaw puzzles, games, posters, greeting cards and magazines, as well as such corporate printed materials as annual reports, brochures and product literature. Services include digital prepress production, commercial offset printing with full bindery services and fulfillment.

"Our vision is to bring together the best professionals in the industry under one roof," said David Harding, president of the HardingPoorman Group. "This acquisition adds talent to our company so we can continue serving customers."

Small commercial printers typically face high technology costs to stay in business. By providing customers multiple services from one facility, the HardingPoorman Group "improves customer service and offers customers the best combination of quality and service," according to Bob Poorman, vice president of sales.

Harding and Poorman are quick to point out that as the state of Indiana pursues opportunities for economic development, it's more important than ever that Indianapolis area print buyers choose locally-owned printing companies to produce their work.  "We're hopeful that more central Indiana companies will be inclined to have their printing needs served by companies whose owners live and work among them," Poorman said.
