Konica Minolta integrates Fiery Color Profiler Suite 3.0 into color lineup

Press release from the issuing company

Los Angeles – Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta), a leading provider of advanced imaging and networking technologies for the desktop to the print shop, and EFI, a world leader in customer-focused digital printing innovation, today announced the newest version of Fiery Color Profiler Suite (CPS) color management tools has been integrated into Konica Minolta's award-winning color product lineup – bringing customers a smoother workflow and greater color accuracy.

On display at "The Power of Performance" – Konica Minolta's 2010 Business Conference and Product Expo – through May 5 in Los Angeles, CPS version 3.0 provides complete color quality control at every stage of the printing workflow with integrated color management tools.  Profile making is integrated directly into the Fiery servers that power the bizhub PRO C65hc, bizhub PRO C6501/C5501 Series and current family of bizhub color MFPs.  Reducing the time to optimize color quality while lessening the possibility for errors, CPS also provides the ability for color matching of multiple engines in a production environment.

The latest version of CPS integrates into the Fiery server workflow, enabling automatic installation and population of printer profiles including optimized pre-sets that eliminate steps and reduce errors.  New support for automated measuring instruments shortens the time to set-up an optimal color managed workflow, while enhanced tools for profile optimization and quality assurance tools for conformance to industry standards allow all customers to get the optimal output from their printers.

"Fiery Color Profiler Suite gives print providers a competitive edge, ensuring that color reproduction is always accurate, consistent and reliable," said John Henze, vice president of Fiery marketing, EFI.  "The new Fiery-CPS integration improves usability for Konica Minolta customers, and gives them more flexibility to take advantage of the full functionality of Fiery solutions."

"Konica Minolta is excited to offer our customers the newest color management and profiling tools to ensure that the highest levels of color and control are achieved by even the most demanding color professionals worldwide," said Kevin Kern, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc.

Fiery Color Profiler Suite and other EFI Fiery solutions designed for Konica Minolta customers are available now through Konica Minolta's North American direct sales, authorized dealer and value-added reseller channels.
