DuPont Cyrel FAST Changes the Face of Printing

Press release from the issuing company

August 25, 2003 — DuPont Cyrel FAST technology, a solventless printing plate processing system, is the first major technical advancement in the flexographic printing industry in 25 years. It has the potential to not only displace existing printing plate technology, but to lead to other advancements based on the elimination of chemical handling and disposal, and greatly reduced water usage. The "Cyrel FAST as You Need" program enables customers to install and run the new system for an all-inclusive "square inch processing fee." This fee, coupled with improved technology, allows customers to focus on total delivered cost and accurately quantify the impact of reduced cycle time, shorter make-ready and greater press productivity that Cyrel FAST delivers. The system is ideal for the more complicated, eye-catching package designs now being demanded for the consumer packaging industry. To learn more about Cyrel FAST technology, go to www.cyrel.com. Combining the DuPont strengths in printing technology and packaging is one example of the DuPont integrated science strategy.
