Thursday, April 29, 2010

Press release from the issuing company

Polestar has successfully completed delivery of over 20 million A6 size puzzle books for Harmsworth Quays Printing. The puzzle books, which were printed at Polestar Chromoworks, have been onserted into ,The Mail On Sunday, for the publisher, Associated Newspapers, over the last few weeks.

Polestar Chromoworks converted over 2,000 tonnes of paper on its Rotoman press and MBO folders to produce the small format puzzle books. Polestar Account Director Jeff White says: "Polestar Chromoworks is a very reliable commercial web offset facility within the group and its services are often called upon to support the larger gravure and offset manufacturing plants when speciality high quality covers and products are demanded."

Last month, Polestar secured a new five-year contract with Associated Newspapers for the production of the publisher's weekend supplements. Polestar will continue to print Weekend magazine for Saturday's Daily Mail at its web offset companies, Polestar Petty and Polestar Colchester, with The Mail on Sunday supplements, Live and You Magazine, printed gravure at Polestar Sheffield. Polybagging of the Sunday supplements is also carried out at Polestar Sheffield.
