August 25, 2003 -- Hauppauge, New York — Muller Martini has developed a new backbone preparation device for its short-run perfect binding systems that improves book quality and expands product versatility. The patent pending innovation, called Angle Notch, is available as an upgrade to binderies that run Amigo, AmigoPlus or Tigra perfect binding systems. It also will be integrated into new machines as optional equipment for customers who expect to run heavy coated or otherwise difficult to bind product. The device extends the product range of the short-run Muller Martini perfect binders. It allows them to accept jobs with heavy ink coverage and coated stock while achieving excellent pull values with standard glues.
