With the celebration of National Arbor Day fast approaching, Greenleaf Book Group is actively spreading this message to businesses contemplating their environmental impact. With the increasing depletion of trees worldwide, consumers are developing greater awareness of the impact of deforestation and are making buying decisions based on corporate commitments to protecting the environment.

Greenleaf Book Group adopted the Tree Neutral initiative in 2007 by agreeing to offset its tree consumption through sponsoring the planting of a replacement tree for each tree used in printing its books. To date, over 14,000 replacement trees have been planted through Greenleaf's partnership with Tree Neutral. To take the program to the next level, starting this year, the company's consumption of office paper will also be offset with replacement trees.

"It's important for businesses to stay environmentally conscious. We have always made considerable efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle, but decided to go one step further by becoming Tree Neutral," said CEO Clint Greenleaf.
