RSA wins three ON DEMAND Best of Show Awards

Press release from the issuing company

Philadelphia, PA - Rochester Software Associates, a provider of premium production print workflow software solutions, has been recognized at this year's ON DEMAND Conference & Exposition with three Best of Show Awards.  In a conference first, RSA took home both awards in the workflow category.  WebCRD Web-to-Print software received Best of Show, and new product KDKPrint was awarded with an honorable mention in the workflow category.  WebCRD also won an honorable mention in the Innovative Use of Technology category for its SurePreview pre-order document viewer.

WebCRD's Best of Show in workflow solutions award was for its continued advances in automating customer workflows, and WebCRD's SurePreview Innovative Use of Technology recognition was for its use of technology to increase digital print usage.  KDKPrint's workflow category honorable mention was due to the product's ability to drive value for print centers with SMARTBOARD make ready by converting those files for utilization outside of Kodak Digimaster or NexPress printers or in mixed environments.

InfoTrends, a leading market research and consulting firm in the digital imaging and document solutions industry, partnered with the ON DEMAND Conference & Exposition to produce the awards program. ON DEMAND, the digital printing & automated production event, is the largest conference and exposition dedicated to the technologies that personalize, manage, print, and deliver content.

WebCRD's new 8.0 release announced at the show, continues to advance customer workflow in automation via a new user interface and other improvements that increase user customer satisfaction with an even faster ordering and order management experience, and the ability to more tightly integrate with internal web site branding.  WebCRD has won Best of Show awards three of the last four years.

Long known for its configurability and extensive features, WebCRD now has a user interface that previewed customers describe as "outstanding." WebCRD's simple single screen ticketing hallmark was taken even further in this release with a new shopping cart ordering process that speeds reorders and order management, both for the end user and print production.

WebCRD's SurePreview enables print centers to increase user acceptance, and decrease waste and turn around by previewing a job onscreen as a finished product.  By providing an interactive Instant Estimate and showing a customer how the completed print job will look, in-plant print shops can drive more margin and in-house print volumes.

RSA's new KDKPrint SMARTBOARD conversion software, received an honorable mention in the workflow category for its ability to improve workflow by transforming a closed system so it will work across different equipment manufacturers. By converting complex Kodak SMARTBOARD files to PostScript or a PDF on supported production printers with ticketing, print centers can achieve further workflow automation and efficiencies and reduce costs by leveraging existing equipment and software, even in mixed printer or multiple print vendor environments.

Tim Kelly, Senior Vice President for RSA stated, "For almost 25 years, we have dedicated ourselves to helping in-plant print centers increase operating efficiency and volume while reducing costs.  RSA continually look for ways to help our customers succeed with in-plant digital printing through innovation, and increasing the extensibility, features, and capabilities of our software. We are pleased to be recognized with so many awards, and deeply appreciate our customers support and the outstanding development teams at RSA who have worked diligently for months to release new versions of our two flagship products and deliver a new-to-the-world product."

"This award is meant to recognize exceptional innovation in the digital printing industry," stated Jeff Hayes, President, InfoTrends.  "RSA is one of the leaders in our industry, and we are pleased to acknowledge their accomplishments."
