manroland's apprentices get in front of the camera

Press release from the issuing company

With tremendous commitment and élan the apprentices at manroland Offenbach, together with the manroland film team, produced a trailer about the apprenticeship possibilities at manroland.

In a seven-minute film made for use on the apprenticeship webpage and at recruiting days, manroland trainees demonstrate all that you can learn at one of the world's largest printing press manufacturers. Two trainees take the viewers on a tour of the company and present the apprentices, along with their diverse occupational fields, covering everything from technical drawing to printing.

A wealth of apprenticeship possibilities in many interesting fields
It is no secret that manroland mainly provides education in technical professions. Furthermore, a bachelor or master degree with an enriched practical experience can be completed after the apprenticeship. One thing unifies the 130 young people who want to become technical draftsmen, industrial mechanics, precision or foundry mechanics, printers, electronic engineers, or mechatronics engineers: WE ARE PRINT. The manroland motto stands for team spirit and is strongly emphasized throughout the course of the apprenticeships.

"During the production of the film, the trainees intensively worked together," reports Matthias Derzbach, instructor and supervisor of the film project. "Thus, the guys gained a deeper insight into the professions done by their colleagues and simultaneously learned a lot about conceptual work and project management. Later on they found out more about film-making from the manroland film team. The trailer is even narrated by the apprentices."

"Whoever completes an apprenticeship at manroland lays a strong foundation for their occupational future. Developing the skills and promoting the personal strengths of our employees are very important to us. In-house staff development and also a dual degree program, for example at the University of Applied Sciences in Aschaffenburg, complete our extensive apprenticeship program," adds Albrecht Völz, head of training.
