Elixir releases Tango

Press release from the issuing company

Ventura, CA - Elixir Technologies Corporation announced the launch of Tango, an entirely new architecture that uses the web to manage the end-to-end workflow associated with client communications.

The web is fast becoming the single universal platform for conducting business and Tango allows companies to continue that shift --- away from shrink-wrapped software --- and the high costs associated with their acquisition and maintenance.

Tango utilizes Software as a Service (SaaS) principles and can be deployed as either a hosted model or within a company's managed infrastructure. In both scenarios, Tango significantly reduces the hardware and software footprint by providing a universal platform for application development, data management, and all other tasks related to the development of high-value client communications.

Tango takes a unique approach to distributing tasks by providing individual components rather than a 'one size fits all' package. Design, content creation, data management, and logic creation can each be presented in a separate interface allowing companies to divide the work efficiently and license exactly what they need. Tango also provides components to extend the functionality of other applications including Adobe, QuarkXPress, as well as previous Elixir applications, bringing all users into a unified workflow from design to output.

InDesign Tango is a game-changing platform from a veteran company of 25 years in the industry. Since 1985, Elixir has altered the landscape of client communications, being the first to bring visual design of documents to the PC, introducing scalable type to high volume printing, and liberating document formatting from the mainframe.

With Tango, Elixir has moved the entire process to the web and thus to any company or individual.

This kind of power comes through Software as a Service (SaaS) and it is the major trend sweeping the IT world.
