Solimar announces new SPDE version for AIIM On Demand

Press release from the issuing company

San Diego, CA - Solimar Systems, Inc., a leading global provider of production printing and secure document delivery solutions, today announced plans to exhibit a new version of Solimar Print Director Enterprise (SPDE) to further address the output management market. The enhanced version of SPDE, along with all of Solimar's solution suite, will be on display during the AIIM On Demand Conference & Expo at Philadelphia's Pennsylvania Convention Center in booth # 519 from April 20-April 22, 2010.

Solimar has enhanced the SPDE PDF emulation modules to significantly improve performance. These modules enable users to convert PDF files to other data stream formats such as PostScript, IPDS, AFPDS, TIFF and Metacode. The new functionality helps to streamline PDF related production workflows by providing significantly faster conversion speeds, reduced output file sizes and improved printer processing performance. The performance enhancements are primarily accomplished by optimizing how fonts and other PDF resource objects are managed during PDF file processing and output file creation. Using the enhanced PDF emulation modules, early users of these enhancements have seen file sizes reduced by 40% and throughput increase by 60% for select applications.

"Solimar is committed to providing the best print management and conversion products to help our customers achieve their production goals," said Mary Ann Rowan, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Solimar Systems. "We realize that our customers' conversion modules are a critical part of their overall production workflow. These enhancements will help our SPDE customers to be more productive and successful."
