Signs By Tomorrow lowers costs with Agfa's :Anapurna M4f

Press release from the issuing company

Orlando, FL - Agfa announced today that Signs By Tomorrow (SBT) of Spartanburg, South Carolina, has significantly reduced turn-around time and lowered costs following the recent installation of the :Anapurna M4f UV inkjet printing system from Agfa Graphics.

SBT Spartanburg offers a wide variety of sign products and signage services including banners, posters, screen printing, and all types of outdoor signs. The company installed the :Anapurna M4f in late November of 2009.

"With our current solvent printer, the ink really needs to cure for 24 hours before we start working with it. Now our signs are ready to assemble as soon as they come off the printer," said David Hudgins, President/Owner, Signs By Tomorrow, Spartanburg, SC. Hudgins also offered, "For screen printed orders we would typically try to keep designs to one or two colors and required a 25 or 50 count minimum order. Now, the :Anapurna M4f delivers rich colors for us and we can do as many colors as the customer wants."

The :Anapurna M4f is a wide-format industrial UV inkjet printer designed for rigid media, providing photorealistic quality POP displays, posters, exhibition panels, stage graphics, ad panels and more. It features a print resolution of 720 x 1440 dpi and a maximum printing width of 62 inches.

"The addition of the :Anapurna M4f has opened up a world of possibilities for SBT Spartanburg," said Deborah Hutcheson, Director of Marketing, Agfa Graphics.

"Because the :Anapurna M4f can print directly to the substrate, eliminating mounting and the layer of vinyl, sign shops like this one can reduce inefficiencies. At minimum, this cuts costs and time to produce the output in half."

According to Hudgins, "With the :Anapurna M4f we have penetrated additional markets and are now offering wholesale printing services to other printing companies and sign shops - essentially becoming the commercial printer's sign shop."

Sign Expo attendees can learn more about Agfa's full line of inkjet systems at Agfa's booth (#972) at ISA's International Sign Expo, which runs April 8th - 10th in Orlando, Florida.

Sign Expo attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the :Anapurna family of printers, the high-speed :M-Press TIGER digital press and the new high-performance :Jeti systems.
