Intelicoat Technologies adds ICC profiles for new Canons

Press release from the issuing company

South Hadley, Mass. – InteliCoat Technologies, a world leader in the manufacture of coated paper, film, and specialty substrates for digital imaging technologies, today announced that all of its Magic, Magiclée and Museo brand products are now profiled for Canon's recently announced imagePROGRAF large format printers, including the 44-inch imagePROGRAF iPF8300, 24-inch imagePROGRAF iPF6350 and the iPF6300.  These newest additions highlight InteliCoat's commitment to providing customers with one of the most comprehensive, readily-accessible library of ICC profiles in the industry.

Canon's imagePROGRAF iPF6300/6350/8300 large format printers feature a new ink set, LUCIA EX, which enables photographers to precisely achieve desired results by producing more expressive, crisp blacks, smooth color gradations and the capability to reproduce the finest details in the shadow areas of photographs.  The new inks are also designed with an innovative polymer structure that results in greater scratch resistance and protection from color fading, while also reducing bronzing and metamerism for durable, stable output.

"At InteliCoat, we do everything possible to ensure our customers obtain optimized results from our products, which is why we place such importance on our extensive library of ICC profiles," said Jonathan Read, Technical Sales & Applications Manager at InteliCoat Technologies.  "By optimizing Magic, Magiclée and Museo brand products for the latest generation of Canon printers, our customers will be able to produce consistent, accurate, high-quality color images every time.  It is now even easier to obtain excellent results on these machines, due to Canon's new Media Configuration Tool, which allows our customers to import our custom media files directly into the printer.  This feature is a great way to streamline and simplify the printing process for novice printer operators, to the most knowledgeable experts."
