Sitma U.S.A. demonstrating SAF / SM15 at National Postal Forum

Press release from the issuing company

SITMA U.S.A. - St. Paul, MN - Sitma will exhibit new and innovative technology for automated inline envelope inserting at the National Postal Forum in booth #658 from April 12, 2010 - April 14, 2010.

Sitma's new SAF module combines cut sheet feeding, folding, and accumulation, will be demonstrated inline with the Sitma SM15 Envelope Inserter. This versatile cut sheet feeder/folder allows for variable page count cut sheet accumulation occurring either before or after the folding module.  This feature provides for the accumulation of sheets prior to folding and allows for individually folded sheets to be accumulated prior to insertion into the envelope.  Buffer sections, to increase speeds and/or accommodate complex envelope to envelope variations can be added as required.

The SAF module will be shown feeding the SM15 Envelope Inserter, a high capacity inserter that meets the most demanding production requirements.  Envelope size capability is from 4" x 6" to 9" x 13". The SM15 has the ability to run pocket envelopes with the addition of an optional kit. The SM15 can produce up to 15,000 pieces per hour. The Sitma system shown will include a variety of feeders allowing for selective additions to the host pages being folded by the SAF module. A Sitma camera system for the reading of machine and human readable codes, facilitating selective feeder control, matching or read and print ink jetting, will also be demonstrated.
