Screen Truepress Inkjet Printing Systems featured at ISA Sign Expo 2010

Press release from the issuing company

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. — Screen (USA), a leader in digital printing systems, will showcase its innovative inkjet solutions for the commercial and sign printer at this year’s International Sign Expo to be held April 8-10 in Orlando, Fla. Visitors to the Screen booth (#1776) will discover how the versatile Truepress family meets the quality and throughput needs of promotional sign printers and entrepreneurial graphics producers.

For its inaugural participation in the annual sign/display market trade event, Screen will demonstrate the Truepress Jet2500UV. The grand-format device features exceptional technology to help print professionals improve business growth and bottom line profits. Screen also will highlight the newest addition to the Truepress lineup. The Truepress Jet1600UV-F boasts the latest technology for inkjet printing and UV-LED curing.

The Truepress Jet2500UV comes standard with a roll transport system and a board transport system. It can run roll-to-roll media, including paper, vinyl film, banner and many other materials. In addition, the Truepress Jet2500UV supports a maximum output resolution of 1,500 dpi and incorporates drop-on-demand, eight-level grayscale printing heads. Thanks to its hybrid capabilities and photo-quality imaging, the Truepress Jet2500UV adds value to signs, billboards, vehicle wraps and posters, while rigid substrates open up new markets for transit advertising, exhibits and displays.

The high-output, high-precision linear motor and linear scale enable production speeds up to 366 square feet per hour, so the Truepress Jet2500UV can deliver fast turnarounds on billboards, banners and fleet graphics. The Truepress Jet2500UV handles roll media up to 164 feet long, perfect for large-size jobs and continuous output of multiple projects.

Adding the optional light cyan and light magenta inks to the standard cyan, magenta, yellow, and black inks allows for six-color printing and increases the smoothness of gradations. Furthermore, the optional white ink permits high-quality printing onto transparent media, colored media and metallic materials.

Screen introduced the Truepress Jet1600UV-F at Print ’09 last September to provide a cost-effective and easy-to-use wide-format flatbed device. The Truepress Jet1600UV-F prints images as wide as 63 inches and as long as 122 inches. It is capable of printing 140 square feet per hour on a diverse array of substrates up to 1.96 inches thick. The reproduction is exceptionally sharp and the tints and gradations exceedingly smooth due to the maximum resolution of 1,200 dpi, coupled with the piezo variable-drop printhead that emits up to seven dot sizes.
