LithoTechnics opens European office

Press release from the issuing company

Turnhout, Belgium – LithoTechnics Inc, developer of Metrix, the intelligent, automated job planning and imposition system, announced today that it has expanded its operations and opened a European office located in Turnhout, Belgium. Turnhout has long been a center for printing and the graphic arts, and is located near Antwerp.

Philip Glorian, a 16-year veteran of the graphic communications industry, will head up the new office. Philip has focused his efforts mainly on pre-sales support, channel development, and technical marketing, and his credentials include technical support for Preps and UpFront at ScenicSoft Europe, and pre-sales and channel support for UpFront at Creo. Philip is well versed in JDF and associated interface issues, as one of his many responsibilities was to work on the JDF portion of UpFront and attend the CIP4 Interops, where he worked with many of the MIS and finishing vendors who today interconnect with Metrix. Most recently Philip was with Ricoh, where he concentrated on systems and workflow for the high-volume print market.

Like many of the other staffers at LithoTechnics, Philip worked for several years in print production, where he learned first-hand the demand and urgency of getting the job "out the door" as well as an appreciation for efficient and reliable systems backed by prompt and effective customer service.

Philip is looking forward to his new role, saying, "I am very excited about joining the team at LithoTechnics and working on Metrix, which really solves the job planning puzzle that UpFront set out to do but fell short." He continued, "The enthusiasm of Metrix users is contagious and really without parallel, which speaks volumes about the software and also the company." At LithoTechnics Europe, Philip will focus on business development, sales and marketing, pre-sales support for partners, and technical support.

Rohan Holt, President of LithoTechnics, said: "Philip Glorian is one of those people you'd always want to work with again. Working with Philip at ScenicSoft gave me a great sense of his professionalism, his organizational skills and his people skills –all invaluable to a small and nimble company dedicated to innovation. Moreover, Philip's sales and marketing abilities along with his technical prowess, will be well appreciated by our European distributors in their effort to spread the word about Metrix."
