Quad/Graphics Signs 3-Year Contract Extension with Us Weekly

August 18, 2003 -- Quad/Graphics has earned a three-year contract renewal from Wenner Media for the weekly production of celebrity title Us Weekly, which it co-owns with Walt Disney Co. Under the agreement, Quad/Graphics will produce 50 issues of Us Weekly per year in its Hartford, Wis., plant for a total of 34 million magazines annually. “Us Weekly has developed a great relationship with Quad/Graphics over the last three years, and we’re excited to strengthen that relationship in the future,” said Patrick Bryan, Director of Manufacturing at Us Weekly. “The quality of customer service and the ability of Quad/Graphics to accommodate the growth of Us Weekly really have fortified our relationship.” “As a leading printer of weekly magazines, Quad/Graphics is well suited to serve the needs of Us Weekly,” said Thomas A. Quadracci, President and CEO of Quad/Graphics. “The flexibility of our scheduling and our ability to adapt to clients’ ever-changing needs are integral to the top-notch service we provide to clients like Us Weekly.” Quad/Graphics’ Hartford plant has been printing the magazine since its first weekly issue, which debuted on March 27, 2000. The printer also produces Wenner Media’s monthly Men’s Journal.
