New Finnish joint venture newspaper printer selects Flowman SaaS

Press release from the issuing company

Keski-Pohjanmaan Kirjapaino Plc. and HSS-Media Ltd are building a new joint venture print site called Botnia Print. Flowman's SaaS solutions have been chosen to take care of prepress production and online customer service. Printing will commence in the last quarter 2010 with 15 internal titles and several contract titles on a KBA Cortina dry offset press. Flowman solutions will be implemented into production before the summer at the existing press site of Keski-Pohjanmaan Kirjapaino Plc.

Production director Jari Lähdesmäki from Botnia Print said "We wanted the leading edge prepress technology and investigated all available combination of solutions and service providers. Flowman SaaS was clearly the best match: We were convinced by their advanced technology, deep understanding of the processes and unbeaten overall cost efficiency".

"We searched for technology that offers cost effective micro zoning to our print production. We realized that Flowman has concentrated on fulfilling this increasing need, and their products matched all the prerequisites of our investment criteria" Mr. Lähdesmäki added.

"Botnia Print represents a new dynamic thinking in the industry" says Petri Karjalainen, CEO of Flowman. "This modern print site equipped with effective production technology where investment and running costs can be shared among several, even competitive, titles demonstrates original and tactical business management".

Flowman Virtual Front Desk and Virtual Prepress solutions are utilised by Botnia Print to fully automate all daily routine prepress production transactions between publishers and printers.
