Axode equips SPEOS with ADF solutions

Press release from the issuing company

SPEOS, a 100% subsidiary of Belgian Post, specialises in the management of financial and administrative documents (small and large files) such as invoices, bank statements and salary slips.

Anticipating an increase in demand for TransPromo document solutions, SPEOS has decided to change its printers to use white paper rather than pre-printed paper. The company acquired four Kodak VL2000 printers for this purpose, taking advantage of this advance to implement Axode's SAFE solution on its machines.

As a result, SPEOS now has a complete AXODE-equipped ADF (Automated Document Factory) including automated, semi-automated and manual inserting machines, which are used depending on the size of the job. The integration of the Axode supervision solution on this range of machines allows the company to guarantee equal quality reliability for all theirclients, regardless of the volume of documents to process.

The quality control 'track and trace' solutions provided by Axode across SPEOS's two sites are implemented on a mixed machine park that includes Pitney, Kern and Böwe equipment.

An innovative solution for quality control in printing
One feature of the SPEOS site is the use of four VL2000 single printing machines, allowing:
- 2up simplex printing using each machine independently
- 2up duplex printing by coupling the machines.

The Axode supervision solution ensures the quality control of documents in either single or twin production without requiring any human intervention or special adjustments. Quality control checks:
- verification of colour registration
- front/back matching
- variable data control against a database
- ink-jet print quality control (checking for voids, streakers, etc)
