Equitable Life of Canada Selects HP Exstream Software

Press release from the issuing company

Palo Alto, Calif. – HP today announced that Equitable Life of Canada, one of Canada's largest mutual life insurance companies, is implementing HP Exstream enterprise document automation software to help streamline the design and management of customer communications and improve production efficiencies.

HP Exstream will provide a single software platform for Equitable Life of Canada to create, manage and deliver a variety of communications -- in multiple languages -- to its customers, from high-volume statements and claims correspondence to cheques and contracts.

"After evaluating the needs of our company and comparing HP Exstream to several other document automation solutions, it was a clear choice to partner with HP to develop a more cost-efficient and effective means of communication," said Equitable Life of Canada Chief Information Officer Ravinder Singh. "With HP Exstream, we now expect to reduce our statement processing time from hours to minutes. HP will provide us with an excellent software solution to support physical and electronic customer communication, and improve the customer experience."

HP Exstream produces relevant, personalized communications for Equitable Life customers by seamlessly integrating with the company's existing IT infrastructure. Its document applications are able to access and retrieve a variety of account data such as member profile and policy details in a variety of formats, including XML, flat file data and tagged data. Equitable Life expects to reduce its maintenance and development costs with HP Exstream and improve its time to market for customer correspondence changes. HP Exstream also can scale for Equitable Life's future business growth.

HP Exstream enterprise document automation software allows insurance carriers to decrease document costs and enhance customer retention by streamlining document creation workflow processes to produce more effective, relevant communications – from developing and streamlining high-volume bills and statements to personalizing and automating fulfilment of on-demand policies, correspondence, quotes and proposals.
