Commonwealth of Kentucky using HP Exstream

Press release from the issuing company

Palo Alto, Calif. – HP today announced the Commonwealth of Kentucky has implemented HP Exstream as a key component of the agency's new Comprehensive Tax System (CTS).

The new system will help improve revenue administration and collection functions for Kentucky's Department of Revenue, Finance and Administration Cabinet.

"We required a modern document automation solution that could integrate with any database or other content source, and have the flexibility to create all types of variable constituent communications for high-volume or on-demand delivery," said Mack Gillim, executive director, Department of Revenue, Finance and Administration Cabinet for Kentucky. "We plan to take full advantage of the HP Exstream solution's flexibility in future phases of CTS to respond to constituent needs with the appropriate document and compliant content."

Using HP Exstream, the Commonwealth will be able to more efficiently create constituent communications, including lien and collection notices, tax returns and on-demand personalized correspondence for the state's 1.8 million individual taxpayers and 173,000 active businesses. The software accesses data from the CTS as well as content reflecting the latest legislative changes, and then uses it to create tailored constituent communications, improving compliance and decreasing cycle times.

"The Commonwealth of Kentucky is demonstrating both its focus on service and its technology leadership by providing taxpayers with easy-to-read, highly personalized documents that include timely information and can be delivered on demand," said Steve Matthews, director of public sector sales, Enterprise Software, HP. "With the ability to accelerate document development, help reduce maintenance costs and enhance the user experience, HP Exstream is significantly benefiting the Commonwealth and its constituents."

HP Exstream provides state, local and federal agencies a single software platform to design, create, deliver and manage all types of constituent communications, regardless of complexity, variability or delivery channel. Agencies that use

HP Exstream can significantly reduce document development and production costs and get critical communications out faster in the constituent's primary language, through preferred channels, and with clearer, more relevant content.
