Signature Offset chooses Goss Community SSC press for new east-coast facility

Press release from the issuing company

Signature Offset, a coldset web publication printing specialist with seven U.S. locations, has ordered a new Goss press to anchor a soon-to-open eighth site.

The four-tower Community SSC press will be installed at the undisclosed east-coast location this summer. The system will feature an N-40 folder with quarterfold capabilities.

“We made our decision based on the support capabilities of the Goss International organization and the exceptional press technology they bring to the table,” according to Brian Moser, production director for Signature Offset.

Moser emphasizes that his company has invested heavily in advanced prepress capabilities across its sites in recent years. He says that the Goss Omnicon press control system is a differentiating factor that will extend the advantages of that digital front end directly to the press. “Presetting, overall ease of use and a VPN connection for remote diagnostics and service support stood out as key benefits of the Omnicon controls,” he adds.

Signature Offset serves publishers, producing a complete range of product formats and sizes on newsprint and uncoated stocks. The company was founded in 1970 and has production facilities in Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado; Phoenix, Arizona; Albuquerque and Las Cruces, New Mexico and Olive Branch and Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
