Eisenberg – In June W+D-Langhammer will deliver a high performance palletizing system to Cobopa S.L. in Anna close to Valencia. The company belongs to Grupo PanStar which is Spain's second largest manufacturer of pre-baked and deep freeze bakery items such as bread, buns and croissants.

Cobopa S.L. opted for a PA 8 high performance palletizer with a ZF 51 infeed which supplies two processing lines at the same time in multi-line operation. It is designed to be able to be expanded for a planned third line. The unit includes the carton transport and the empty pallet supply as well as the transport technology for the discharge of the full pallets to the -22° cold deep freeze storage.

Cobopa's Ricardo Lamaza commented: "The most important criterion in our decision for W+D-Langhammer technology is their comprehensive experience in the baking industry especially in Spain, but also in many other European countries." Together with Mercadona, Forvasa and Delafr'o (Grupo Berlys) almost all the large Spanish manufactures of baked goods are customers of the palletizing specialist from southern Germany. Cobopa was impressed by the speed and reliability of the machines. What helped clinch their decision is the fact that through their sales office in Valencia W+D-Langhammer offers them a contact person on site.
