FCS Laser Mail installs four Infoprint 4100 continuous forms printers

Press release from the issuing company

London, UK – InfoPrint Solutions, a joint venture between IBM and Ricoh, today announced that FCS Laser Mail, a specialist transaction printer in the West Midlands, has expanded its capabilities with the acquisition of four InfoPrint 4100 monochrome continuous forms printers.

With the addition of the four InfoPrint 4100s, FCS Laser Mail can now print up to two million A4 impressions a day. FCS Laser Mail can now offer new transaction printing and mailing services to its clients across financial services, local government, education and other industries.

The InfoPrint 4100 Advanced Function Printing (AFP) System is a digital publishing and transactional production output solution that produces the high image and text quality on a wide range of paper.  At 100.6 metres per minute, the InfoPrint 4100 provides one of the highest speeds currently available for electrophotographic printers and allows users to produce more output with fewer devices and less operator time.

"This new investment, alongside Pitney Bowes Mailing equipment, not only significantly increases our capacity but also gives us the ability to perform intelligent mail sorting in order to reduce our client's mailing costs," said Michael Fay, managing director of FCS Laser Mail. "Our mailing house can handle more than 1 million items per day, with full BCR, OCR or OMR integrity control."

FCS Laser Mail prides itself on its commitment to a zero defect service within a secure environment and has achieved ISO9001 Quality, ISO14001 Environmental and ISO027001 Information standards.  This commitment to Total Quality Management has allowed the firm to service clients who demand the highest standards of accuracy and security, such as examination boards and government authorities.

FCS Laser Mail is also looking at ways to develop its business by offering personalisation using the InfoPrint 4100s. TransPromo and precision marketing enables marketers to improve marketing ROI by increasing the response rates and revenue generated from marketing campaigns by transforming printed transaction documents into high-value communications by incorporating relevant, personalised marketing messages that enhance brands and help build customer loyalty.

"There is a substantial business opportunity for transaction monochrome printing in the UK," said Theresa Lang, InfoPrint UK managing director. "FCS Laser Mail's decision to install InfoPrint 4100s will ensure it can deliver on its client commitments, particularly in the areas of security and integrity, and maintain its reputation as a high quality, trusted printer."
